At Teachers Tutoring UK, we are committed to delivering high-quality teaching that empowers children and young people to build strong literacy and numeracy skills—skills that open doors to opportunities they might not otherwise access.

Support Equal Opportunities in Education

In 2025, 62% of all pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths at the end of Key Stage 2. Provisional data also shows a significant attainment gap: only 47% of disadvantaged pupils achieved the expected standard compared with 69% of their non-disadvantaged peers — a 22-percentage-point difference.

By GCSE, the gap widens further: just 25.8% of disadvantaged pupils achieve a grade 5 or above in both English and Maths, compared with 53.1% of non disadvantaged pupils.

Tutoring can make a real difference. Beyond improving exam results, tutoring boosts confidence, engagement, and attendance. Research in England suggests that providing tutoring after the pandemic could unlock over £4 billion in economic benefits by boosting young people’s lifetime earnings.

By supporting our work, you help children gain essential academic skills and the confidence to thrive. Together, we can close the attainment gap and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

How Grants/Funding can help us

Grants that support our tutoring programmes have the power to change children’s lives. With this funding, we can provide personalised academic support that helps each child build confidence, develop a positive attitude toward learning, and overcome barriers that may be holding them back. By giving children access to high-quality tutoring—regardless of their circumstances—these grants help open the door to greater opportunities, stronger future prospects, and the chance to thrive both in school and beyond.
